Ugh.
So I discovered something yesterday.
Hair elastics, which have a limited life expectancy due to the break-down of the elastic, are particularly nasty when the break down has occurred during a hot spell. That they have broken down is also not evident until one goes to put them in ones hair in order to have it up so it doesn't get wet while having a shower.
I went to put it in and as I was pulling it to twist around my bun, the elastic became an oozy, sticky slime that pushed through the cloth-weave of the elastic covering and coated my hands and my hair.
It doesn't respond well to soap and water.
Thankfully, it did manage to work its way out of my hair when I conditioned the hell out of it.
Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck.
