[livejournal.com profile] prism_books November Points to Ponder is up. :-)

I really enjoyed the book. Hope you all did. If you haven't read it yet, there's still time. Was a REALLY quick read. :-)

Damn... already three days into October. Bad book club organiser!

New bookclub book is up. Feel free to stop back at the "Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict" post and add to the commentary. :-)

I went in to get Rhys up this morning and found I had a naked baby in the crib. He'd taken off his pyjamas at some point in the night. Thankfully, although he was pulling at it, he hadn't managed to get his diaper off. It's only a matter of time. And he was climbing the rail of his crib... pulling on the top and digging his bare feet onto the rails for purchase. I think that we will be closing the baby gate at the top of the stairs at night from now on (although the boy's bedroom door is always closed and latched anyways).

For those who many not have been watching the calendar, [livejournal.com profile] prism_books Points to Ponder for this month's book are up. Should be an interesting conversation.

Posted the first book in my book club. Hope this works out. :-D

I took the prerogative of the owner to post a book I've been wanting to read. Hehe. Next month we'll go to other suggestions.

Book Club

One of the things I miss about being in post-secondary is that it forced me to read things I never would have picked up on my own. I am really beginning to miss that. An alternative, of course, is the Book Club. However, I really don't think I can find the time/energy/willingness to commit to a particular time each month, plus the crap-shoot that is joining a local bookclub.

Then I had a thought; the majority of the people I like, respect, and am interested in live far away from me. But through bundles of fiber-optic cables, we are all much closer! How about an online book club?

If I were to start an LJ community for an online book club, who here would be interested? I still have to think a little about how it would be set up, but I think it might be fun to read some books together and comment back and forth about them. :-)
